First Public Blog Post

I have recently decided to open up the blog to everyone in the case people are keeping up with the site and want to know what’s going on or what’s planned here. It has been up all month but unless you’re a registered member of the site, you would not have seen it.  I’ll try to keep this updated from time to time and more often over the Halloween season.

It’s a one man show here at HyperReactor.com, a lot to keep up with at times. I’m glad that a many enjoyed the Laser Vortex that has been in my haunt for a while and know at least 3 people that have made one. I have even had one person ask about where to buy one pre-made so I’m looking into construction cost for reliable parts I can buy, build and sell for those that would like a pre-built model. A poll will be placed on the site in the coming days to see if there is enough interest in this. I never expected the Laser Vortex to be so popular with so many people. Thanks go out to the members of instructables.com for their comments and suggestions on the Laser Vortex.

I never get to as many things as I would like during the Halloween season and this has been a challenging year. My trip to Tampa for Howl-o-Scream has been set back twice so far but I have not missed the event in over 5 years so I’m determined to go and post some footage. My little fog machine for the vortex died with a blown heater unit and that will need to be replaced. Halloween decorations just started going up at my place yesterday with another day of setup to go. And I have articles to post for mods to the Floating Orb project, tips for getting the most out of your Laser Vortex and getting the word out on Design Toscano that many have not heard of but has great stuff. The broken parts of the site design had to suffer this first year due to time but next years design should have the bugs worked out.

Other projects keep popping into my head so I will do as many as I have time for but making the how-to and editing video can be very time consuming. (Like I said, this is a one man show.)

So to wrap this first public post up, thanks to everyone that has made the site more popular than I expected and especially to everyone that have used the links on the site to purchase materials or find more information on what’s here. Not all these links help support the site because I would rater point people to good places rather than get some change to keep up the site and my work. Unfortunately if you want to play, you have to pay so this helps greatly as I could not support as much as I do without it. And I would rather take the site down if I could not keep the information free for the public.
